The Southern Spartans are a representative side with players from Ashford and Shepway. Calypso are delighted to be teaming up with the existing members of the Southern Spartans to help drive the programme forward. Together, we’ll continue to build on the strong foundations already in place, working closely with local clubs and leagues to identify and develop the most talented players across the district.

Matt Fagg has led the Southern Spartans programme for the past two years, drawing on his experience with Kent Cricket to develop young talent across Ashford and Shepway. His passion for player growth and strong local links have been central to the Spartans’ ongoing success.
Co-lead of Coaching at Calypso Cricket, George will support Matt in leading the Southern Spartans. George will look to support the existing Spartans coaches with their work, as well as add some Calypso touches in there to aid player development to enhance the programme.
Supporting Matt and George are a group of experienced Spartans coaches that have helped drive the progression of boys and girls in the area.
